Services and Fees for Service
Services include a thorough one hour eye and vision evaluation utilizing the latest in digital eye examination technologies. The depth of data collected on the child’s visual system far exceeds the information gathered during a general comprehensive vision evaluation. The results of the evaluation are discussed in a “grand-rounds” format between our board of expert doctors, evaluated from our different specialty perspectives and a treatment regimen is designed based on our mutual recommendations on a case-by-case basis. Our final recommendation is backed by the latest scientific and clinical data and references provided to the parents for their perusal. After agreeing on a strong recommendation, we present it to the parent(s) at a second office visit where they are able to speak one on one with their consulting doctor to ask questions about the recommendation and receive information.
The competitive cost of $348 is inclusive of the initial one-hour comprehensive evaluation, the grand-rounds doctor panel and the follow up visit. Additional fees for treatments such as Orthokeratology, contact lens therapies, vision therapies and Myovision lens therapy might apply. Recommendations for special eyeglass lenses, nutritional recommendations and lifestyle therapies are included in the initial evaluation and no additional fees apply.
The Institute does not participate in any insurance plans, thus accepts no insurance nor will it be able to submit any claims on your behalf. However, the Institute will provide receipts that can be used toward medical flexible spending accounts and health savings accounts. Should Orthokeratology be the recommended treatment, the fee for the evaluation is deducted from the cost of the Orthokeratology treatment fee.
