  Valerie Lam, OD, FAAO, FCOVD

  Dr. Lam is co-founder of Insight Vision Center Optometry and is a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry and the College of Optometrists in Vision Development.  She is an orthokeratology wearer herself and enjoys clear comfortable vision without having to wear glasses.  She firmly believes in being proactive to protect children from progressing in their nearsightedness. She is also passionate about ensuring that children have all the necessary visual skills required to read, learn, and pay attention in school.  She believes that while vision starts in the eyes, it is intricately connected to our brain and the rest of our body and affects every activity we do in life.

  Thanh Mai, OD, FSLS

  Dr. Mai is co-founder of Insight Vision Center Optometry in Costa Mesa, CA and past President of the Orange County Optometric Society. At his office, he focuses on orthokeratology, scleral lenses (particularly for keratoconus) and vision therapy. He particularly enjoys treating patients “beyond 20/20” and nurturing healthy vision development in children.  Dr. Mai is renowned in the Orange County area for achieving excellent results with orthokeratology for nearly any prescription.  He is passionate about restoring great vision to his patients through contact lenses. He lectures throughout the county and leads workshops to teach other optometrists how to perform orthokeratology because he truly wants to help treat myopia in children around the world.
