  Dr. Alan N. Glazier

  Dr. Glazier is the founder of the Institute. By speaking with concerned parents whose childrens vision worsened regularly, Dr. Glazier recognized the dire need for an Institute solely devoted to educating parents and treating their children with progressively worsening myopia. He is recognized as one of the most influential Optometrists in the country by the Vision Monday Organization. Dr. Glazier holds a B.S. from the University of Maryland and a Doctorate from the New England College of Optometry. He is a longstanding member of the Maryland Optometric Association and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He is founder and CEO of Shady Grove Eye and Vision Care, a leading regional eye care provider, and has been caring for patients since 1993. He is the founder, CEO and inventor of core technology patents of Vision Solutions Technology, a company with a novel implantable lens that benefits people suffering from macular degeneration. In 1998, his peers selected Dr. Glazier as the Maryland Young Optometrist of the Year. Dr Glazier has been prescribing Orthokeratology therapy for 18+ years and has managed myopia for thousands of children over his career.   Dr. Mahtab Vaziri

  Dr. Vaziri is a graduate of George Mason University received her doctorate from the New England College of Optometry in Boston, MA. Dr. Vaziri practices comprehensive family eye care with an emphasis on dry eye management and also performs exams in fluent Farsi. Dr. Vaziri is a member of the American Optometric Association. In 2011, she was named one of the top 20 TLC Doctors in North America. Dr. Vaziri has been in practice for over 7 years in Northern Virginia and Maryland.   Dr. Vicky Wong

  Dr. Vicky Wong is the latest addition to our fantastic line-up of doctors. She is a graduate of Elizabethtown College in central Pennsylvania and received her doctorate from Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Fort Lauderdale, FL. She completed an additional residency at the Lexington VA Medical Center affiliated with the University of Kentucky with a special emphasis in Low Vision and Specialty Contact lens management. Dr. Wong is originally from Pittsburgh, PA and also performs exams in fluent Chinese. Dr. Wong is a member of the American Optometric Association, Maryland Optometric Association, and Vision Rehabilitation Section.   Dr. Lauren Rubin

  Dr. Lauren Rubin grew up in Montgomery County, Maryland in the town of Potomac. She received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from The University of Michigan. She earned her Doctor of Optometry degree from the SUNY (State University of New York) School of Optometry in 2000. Dr. Rubin moved back to Maryland and worked with laser vision correction centers for 7 years. She started her practice in Rockville in 2009.
